Hi Stefano!
Welcome to planDisney! Your question made me smile because I countdown to my family's Disney Parks trips the very same way. I have a countdown app on my phone that tells me exactly how many weeks, days, and hours away we are from the fun. It's a great way to get the magic started before you even arrive, but it's also the
perfect way to keep track of when to make advance dining reservations, too!
It sounds like you are already familiar with the booking process for
making dining reservations at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Guests there have the ability to book 60 days in advance for their length of stay (up to 10 days) if they'll be staying in a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel.
Disneyland Resort handles things a bit differently, and as such, guests will need to book dining reservations for each date of their visit individually, at 60 days out. This may create a little more work on your end if you have a longer stay, but unlike at Walt Disney World Resort, you won't have to compete for reservations with guests who have longer trips and got a head start reserving their favorite restaurants before your 60-day booking window opens.
One extra perk for guests of
Disneyland Resort Hotels is
Preferred Reservation Access for select hotel table-service restaurants. You'll just need to make sure your Resort Hotel confirmation number is linked to your
Disneyland account. Keep in mind these preferred access reservations are limited and subject to availability.
If you're not sure where to dine during your visit I highly recommend
Lamplight Lounge and
Carthay Circle Restaurant, both at Disney California Adventure Park. The menus are divine, the drinks are inventive, and the ambiance is top-notch! Over at Disneyland Park, we love
Cafe Orleans and enjoyed our very first Monte Cristo sandwich out on the patio just as the lights of New Orleans Square began to glow. I know Blue Bayou usually gets top billing for its view of Pirates of the Caribbean, but we've dined at both and preferred the people-watching experience and menu at Cafe Orleans.
As Chef Remy said, "If you are what you eat, then I only want to eat the good stuff." I'm confident you'll find plenty of "good stuff" to feast upon when you visit Disneyland Resort this fall. Stefano, I hope this cleared up any confusion. If you have any additional questions please stop back and let us know. We're always happy to assist!
Bon appétit,
Amy
