Hi Tyron,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney. I'm thrilled to hear you're planning a visit to
Disneyland Resort later this year, and it sounds like you're deciding between two fantastic resort options.
I had the pleasure of staying at
Disneyland Hotel last December, and it's a trip I'll never forget. I absolutely loved the theming and décor, and of course, the proximity to the parks. There is nothing quite like hopping on the Disneyland Monorail and gliding into Tomorrowland to begin a day of magic at
Disneyland Park. While I have not yet had the pleasure of staying at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, I've enjoyed character dining there on past trips and know you'll be impressed by the beautiful accommodations. The best part is that guests of this resort have special direct access to
Disney California Adventure Park. It's an especially great way to save some steps after walking all over the parks that day.
In order to book your magical vacation adventure you'll need to connect with a local travel agent. They can assist in making the necessary hotel reservations for your visit and provide guidance on ticket options.
Once your travel arrangements are made, be sure to make plans to enjoy the
Disney100 Celebration and take time to explore the newly re-imagined Mickey’s Toontown during your visit. You'll also want to experience the holiday overlays on "it's a small world" and Haunted Mansion. Both attractions are decked out in their holiday finest with some special added magic that is not-to-be-missed! I'd also recommend picking up a delicious Mickey Gingerbread cookie during your visit. We enjoyed them last year and I'm still thinking about the soft chewy texture and delicate gingerbread flavor. They were available for purchase along with other treats from the
holiday cart at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa last winter.
There's so much magic to discover, I can't wait for you to experience it for yourself. If we can help with anything else please don't hesitate to come back and let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
