Hi, I'm traveling to Disney and am currently pregnant. Do you know if the flower garden festive foods use pasteurized cheese? I have seen a lot of food options with cheese so just wondering if you knew if they always use pasteurized products.

Congratulations on your upcoming addition, Shannon!

I have visited the Most Magical Place on earth to make some very special memories before the bun in the oven arrived, and I am thrilled that you are getting to do the same!

Now, Shannon, while you are eating for two, you absolutely must grab a festival passport and snack your way around the world at the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival

Shannon, I have talked to several Cast Members who say that they believe all cheeses are pasteurized unless the menu states otherwise, but I am going to caution you here to ALWAYS check with the food booth and chefs in any establishment to verify. Personally, even if it was pasteurized I always stayed away from soft cheeses when I was pregnant, just in case.

As always, make sure that you check with your doc about ride restrictions and any other food and beverage restrictions. Remember to stay hydrated and take breaks. I find that the Baby Care Centers are a great place to rest and put my feet up in the air conditioning.

Please come back here if we can help you answer any other questions about traveling with your littlest Mouseketeer on board!
