Hi, I'm shipping a package to my resort, do I need to tell them that I would like it delivered to my room? I will be staying at the Port Orleans Riverside in July. Thanks!

Hi there, Sharon! I bet you're already counting down the days to your trip this summer. I have my Disney countdown calendar out, too!

Shipping packages to your Walt Disney World Resort is a very smart idea! Many Moms Panelists use Amazon Prime for necessities like diapers, cereal, bottled water, and sunscreen. Having more room in your suitcase means you can bring home extra souven-EARs! It's important to make sure that your boxes are clearly labeled. You can find the mailing address for Disney's Port Orleans Resort- Riverside on the Walt Disney World website. When addressed, be sure to include  the following:

Name of LEAD Guest on Reservation
    Arrival Date
    Name of Resort
    Address
    City, State, and Zip

If shipping from home, I'd recommend writing the word "GUEST" on the address label next to your name so that Bell Services can deliver it to your room. Although it's not necessary, I also find it helpful to let your resort know that a package is on its way by calling Walt Disney World Guest Services at (407) 939-5277. Note that a $6 per package handling fee will apply to all packages that are received through the Front Desk or are delivered to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room.

By the way, Sharon, I think you're going to enjoy the Southern charm at Port Orleans Riverside. I'd love to stay in one of their princess themed Royal Guest Rooms, myself! You may want to consider taking a Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride along the banks of the Sassagola River. For nighttime entertainment, head over to the River Roost Lounge for some wacky piano playing from Yehaa Bob, and indulge in a New Orleans Hurricane cocktail while you're there!
