Hi, If a FL resident purchased a FL resident pass online and also verified their residency online with ID.me, what would prevent an out of state individual from using that ticket to enter the parks? Thank you!

    Hey howdy hey, Sean!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for bringing us your question about Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets. Yee-haw! It sounds like you're considering a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! You've asked a terrific question and I'm happy to help you to understand Florida Resident ticket reassignment options. You've got a friend in me!

Florida residents can score some pretty amazing deals on theme park tickets and Annual Passes, Sean. It's one of the many benefits of living near the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort! There are certain parameters in place to ensure that Florida Resident offers are used appropriately. For example, a Florida billing address must be provided at the time of checkout for these tickets and passes, and all adults must verify proof of residency at the theme park entrance.

Sean, I reached out to the friendly Cast Members at the Existing Tickets phone line to inquire about the process for reassigning Florida Resident tickets. I was informed that wholly unused and unexpired theme park tickets purchased at a Florida Resident special offer rate may be reassigned to other Florida residents only when residency verification is not completed ahead of time. Once residency verification has been confirmed, the ticket is no longer eligible for reassignment to another Guest in an individual's Friends & Family List. However, if residency is not verified ahead of time, Florida Resident tickets may be reassigned to other Florida residents in My Disney Experience. In this case, the ticket user would need to complete residency verification in person once they arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort!

If you have specific questions about the ticket reassignment process, I encourage you to reach out to the helpful Cast Members at the Existing Tickets phone line, Sean. Otherwise, feel free to stop back by planDisney again with any additional planning questions you may have. We're here to help with any questions you might have - to infinity and beyond!

    So long partner,
