Hi, If you purchase a ticket for the Very Merry Christmas Party, do you also need to purchase a regular admission ticket for that day, or can you just come at 7 to the park for the party? Thanks, Nicole

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kevin and Nicole! I just love Christmas time at the Walt Disney World Resort. The decorations are so festive, and everything about the parks and resorts just signifies the holiday season! You're in for such a magical vacation!

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is one of my favorite special events of the year. Walking along Main Street during the "snow fall" with complimentary hot chocolate and cookies, while our favorite Disney friends are out in their Christmas attire is so much fun! Since the party is a separately ticketed event, you do not need to purchase a regular admission ticket to Magic Kingdom for the day, but you won't be able to enter the park until the party begins at 7:00 p.m., though in my experience, they do begin letting party guests in as early at 4:00 p.m. or so as the other guests are making their way out. You'll be given a bracelet to signify that you are a party attendee, and you'll be all set to begin to enjoy the magic!

It's so nice to have lower crowd levels to experience all of the special Christmas festivities. Don't miss Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. My favorite part is when the toy soldiers come marching down Main Street! Such wonderful memories! Have fun planning!
