Hi! I am visiting Disney World in September and my parents have luckily agreed to come too to help with our 2 yr old and 4 yr old. Are there pros/cons to booking a room for my parents and a room for our family together vs separate reservations?

    Hi Angela,

This is the exact age my girls were during their first trip to Walt Disney World.  It was also my parent's first trip and it was wonderful for them to experience it together.

One of the main advantages of booking the reservations together is that you can request adjoining rooms which would allow a pass through door between rooms.  This is a nice feature if you want to put the littles ones to sleep and then you would be able to stay up and chat or watch tv.

The con could be if you would like the dining plan or a ticket package.  On one reservation, usually everyone must have the same dining plan or tickets.  If they are not spending all of the time touring together, this may be a consideration.

When we went, we booked a one bedroom at the Boardwalk.  It was more than comfortable and we had the use of a kitchen for preparing meals.

    Have a wonderful time!
