Hi! I have an upcoming WDW trip in September. I’m staying 7 nights, and have 5-day ticket. I was thinking for adding a 1 day ticket for a water park. Is there specific tickets for water parks, or do I need to buy a 2 day park ticket with Park Hopper Plus?

    Hi Dennis,

It sure sounds like you have a wonderful vacation planned for this September!

You'll LOVE visiting a Disney water park on one of your down days, and you have a few options for purchasing tickets. Yes, you may purchase a one-day water park ticket by itself and enjoy one day's admission to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park if they're both open on the same day. The current cost for a one-day water park ticket starts at $60 plus tax per adult for a blackout date ticket, which should work fine for your September vacation.

Or, if you think you'd like to visit the water parks more than once, you may either buy a water park annual pass for $130 plus tax per adult or upgrade your five-day tickets to the Park Hopper Plus Option tickets. I wouldn't recommend buying a second theme park ticket just because there are more cost-effective options for you. To upgrade your ticket, you'll simply visit a theme park ticket window, Guest Relations location, or the Lobby Concierge at your Disney Resort hotel and they'll be happy to upgrade your ticket for you. You'll only need to pay the difference between the ticket that you currently have and the one you'd like to upgrade to. If you have a one park per day ticket currently, the difference per adult ticket will be $100 plus tax. If you already have a Park Hopper Option ticket, it's only another $25 plus tax to upgrade to the Park Hopper Plus Option ticket. By upgrading to this ticket, you'll receive five visits to Disney water parks, Disney's miniature golf courses (prior to 4:00 p.m.), Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course, or the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

I hope that you have a splashing great time playing at a Disney water park, Dennis, and a truly magical vacation!
