Hi, I am reading conflicting information about Old Key West. Can you tell me if there are any elevators at any of the buildings? Is there transportation to the villas from the main check in area? We will not have our own car. Thanks,

    Hi Jane!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It is not surprising to me that you are finding conflicting information about the elevator situation, but I do have the answer for you.  Most buildings at Disney’s Old Key West Resort do not have an elevator to access second floor rooms. The three newer buildings, numbers 62, 63 and 64, do have an elevator! If you have mobility issues where getting to a second floor villa would be a burden, I would recommend you have this information added to your reservation to let them know a first floor room would be needed. If you simply prefer a first floor room, you can add this request as well. While it cannot be guaranteed, Cast Members will do their best to accommodate requests when possible.

There is bus transportation within the resort for your convenience. If you are at the Hospitality House, which is the main check-in area, and would like to return to your villa, you may board either the Internal Resort Shuttle Bus, or a bus to Downtown Disney. If you are wishing to travel from your villa to the Hospitality House, you may board either the Internal Resort Shuttle Bus, or any theme park bus.   If you would like to stay close to the Hospitality House, this is a separate booking category. At this time, it is not an additional cost, but you would need to book the room this way. If you are not already booked near the Hospitality House, you can call to see if rooms in this category are still available.

I hope you are going to love Disney’s Old Key West Resort as much as we did. The lush tropical greenery, cool colors and quiet atmosphere make for a delightful and restful place to stay during a Walt Disney World vacation. Please let me know if you have any additional questions, Jane.

    Happy Planning!
