    Hi I have heard that "Disney Dollars" are being phased out. Is this true and, if so, what is the last date they can be used please? Thanks for all your help.

    Hi Bob,

    My kids have always been huge fans of Disney Dollars. When they know they have an upcoming DIsney trip on the horizon, they like to ask for them as birthday gifts or in place of their allowance.

    As of now, Disney Dollars are still available for purchase and use. I have not heard any rumors of their discontinuation. I have not seen any new 2010 designs, but I can tell you that I have purchased a few this year myself. Disney Dollars can be purchased at most Disney World retail locations. You can also purchase them from most local Disney stores.

    I wonder if maybe the "rumors" come from the increased popularity of the Disney gift card. This card can also be purchased at the same WDW or Disney store locations, and online at www.disneygiftcard.com. They can be purchased in a multitude of designs and amounts.
