    Hi, I will be going to Disney for the first time in October. My grown daughter and 6 yr old grand daughter will be going also. Where would yall suggest to eat after we see Cirque on Sat night? Thanks.

    Debra,

    There are a lot of restaurant choices at Downtown Disney. The question is, which is right for you? Here are a few suggestions;

    Focused on the 6-year old
    • T-Rex Cafe
    • Rainforest Cafe
    These two restaurants are basically the same concept, but with Dinosaurs in one, and jungle animals in the other. The food is just OK in my book, but the atmosphere is really fun, if not a bit loud.

    Relaxed Elegance
    • Portobello
    • Bongos
    The recently-refurbished Portobello has great italian cuisine, and Bongos is a lively Cuban-themed experience.

    Rockin' Good Fun
    • Raglan Road
    • House of Blues
    The Irish pub atmosphere of Raglan Road is kid safe, and only loud in the main room. House of Blues can be a bit more of a bar than you might like, but I enjoy it nevertheless.

    So these are just a few suggestions. Of all of them, I would choose Bongos for a fun atmosphere and the different but kid-friendly food variety.

    Remember that most restaurants at Downtown Disney are NOT on the Disney Dining Plan, so if you are on that program you should be prepared to have this be one of your out-of-pocket meals.

    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
