Hi I booked Pirate Adventure Cruise from GF for my son on Dec7 only kids on this cruise no parents allowed, My son has ASD he can handle lots of situation but as a mother is it good choice to send him alone or should i request if space , to be with him.

Personally, I would speak to a cast member and address your concerns. I think it might be wise for you to plan on accompanying your son just in case, but they would have to give you the official answer.

The cruise is a unique and fun experience, but it's also new and unfamiliar. Sometimes even the boldest of children is thrown being in a new place, surrounded by people they don't know, trying something they've never done before. How easily stressed or overwhelmed is your son? Does he have the ability to use coping skills on his own, without prompting, when he is overstimulated? If he does get upset, what does he do? Will a cast member that he doesn't know be able to help him? Only you know the answers to those questions - just food for thought.

It's hard to tell with any child, and his ASD just adds another layer to the guesswork. If he is eager to try it and he can handle a new situation on his own without panicking, then this may just be the highlight of his trip!

Good luck, and have a great vacation!
