Hi, I booked the holiday for our 2 families (Family 4 and Family 5) we share same booking confirmation, when we book dingin tables can we each book a table for each family? or will one overide the other ?

    Hiya, Phillip! Welcome to planDisney!

I'm thrilled to hear that you booked a trip to Walt Disney World Resort! It sounds like you'll also be traveling with some other families, which is a perfect recipe for magical memories just waiting to be made. When it comes to planning, I love picking out every detail, especially where to dine! I'd love to help you make your dining reservations for your group.

Phillip, even though you and the other Guests in your travel party share the same vacation package reservation, you'll still be able to make dining reservations for a smaller group! Each family will be able to make an advance dining reservation for their specific party. When looking for reservations, you'll select the restaurant, date, time, and number of people in your dining party. Then, you'll select which Guests will be joining you. The only thing that you can't have is the same Guest on both overlapping reservations.

Here are a few more tips:
    • Advance dining reservations can be made 60 days prior to arrival. If you're staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can make your reservations 60 days prior to arrival for the length of your trip (up to 10 days).
    • Reservations open at around 6:00 AM EST, but I'd be logged in at around 5:45 AM EST. I like to have a cup of coffee in my hand, ready to go a bit earlier! Additionally, my lovely friend Jane reminded me to account for the daylight-saving time difference, too.
    • Book your dining reservations in order of difficulty, or the ones you most want to secure first (instead of chronologically by day). You can even split up the tasks and ask other Guests in your travel party to help book, too!
Phillip, I hope I was able to point you in the right direction! Enjoy taking a look at all of the restaurants and menus, and have fun picking your favorites. And if you have any other questions, such as making theme park reservations with the Disney Park Pass system or using the My Disney Experience app, please write to us again. Remember - you've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon!
