Hi, How is WDW Downtown Disney different from Disneyland Downtown Disney? Thank you for your help!

    Hello Bryan,

Thanks for bringing your question to the Moms Panel.  While Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World have some of the same characteristics, they are decidedly different.  I just returned from Disneyland Resort last month and the two shopping districts are distinct.  Downtown Disney covers a bit less real estate than Disney Springs, but both do have various retailers and a multitude of dining establishments.  Some of the same stores are in both locations such as World of Disney, Little Mismatched, Disney Pin Traders and the Lego Store to mention a few.  With the expansion of Disney Springs, I think that there are more retail stores and restaurants than you would find in California. The commonality is that both locations have enough dining and shopping venues to easily separate you from your hard earned money.

Walt Disney captured my heart as a little girl and has not let go since. As a parent and grandparent, I have been to the Walt Disney World Resort with children of all ages, and also as empty nesters. I would like to share my years of experience so that you are able to start your own tradition of Walt Disney World memories, just as I have. Learn More About Leanne
