Hi David, and welcome to planDisney!
I love the convenience of using Apple Pay right from my iPhone and, in my experience, the majority of stores and dining locations at Disney World accept contactless payments through Apple Pay and Google Pay.
In fact, there’s lots of magic that can be accessed through your phone! There’s just a bit of setup to do before your trip to make that happen. First, create a
MyDisney account and download the
My Disney Experience app, if you haven’t already. Once that’s done, you can use the app to view maps with attraction wait times, book
Lightning Lane Passes, join
Virtual Queues, preview your
PhotoPass photos, and more! I use the
mobile food ordering feature the most. It saves so much time and I love that you can preview pictures of the food. That always helps me decide what to get if I’m being indecisive!
Once you have the My Disney Experience app, you’ll be able to set up the second part—
MagicMobile Service. This gives you many of the MagicBand features (officially known as
Disney Bands outside of the U.S.) right from your phone’s mobile wallet! This includes entering the theme parks, linking PhotoPass pictures, and checking in at Virtual Queue and Lightning Lane entrances.
One last thing I wanted to mention. While you’re there in April, the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will be happening. I love this time of year when the whole park is pixie-dusted in beautiful flowers and plants! Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for when they release the festival foodie guide and
Garden Rocks Concert Series lineup.
I hope your vacation countdown goes quickly and you’re enjoying
Dole Whips and Mickey-shaped snacks at Disney World before you know it! In the meantime, don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney if you have any other questions.
