Welcome back to planDisney, Donna!
We are happy that you sailed by again with another great question. We've enjoyed connecting with you while you plan your next Disney Cruise Line vacation!
To help you stay connected on your cruise there are three internet package options (subject to change). If you would like to purchase packages for more than one device the price is the same for each device. Each stateroom can buy internet packages for up to four devices. Of course, you can use the same package on more than one device, you will just need to log out of one device before logging into the other with the same plan.
To purchase an internet package, open your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and select Connect to Internet, which will open a new browser window where you can view available plans and select how many devices you need to connect at one time. And remember, if you would like to keep in touch with friends and family onboard or back home, iMessage and WhatsApp messaging are free, simply connect to the onboard complimentary WiFi.
So you have this information in one place, I'm happy to share the current package descriptions and pricing with you:
- The Stay Connected package allows you to connect to social media, including sharing photos. This package (per device) is $18 per day for one day or $16 per day if purchased for your entire sailing.
- The Basic Surf package also includes the ability to browse the internet (including making internet voice mails) and check email. This package (per device) is $28 per day for one day or $24 per day for your entire voyage.
- The Premium Surf package includes all the above features plus faster connection speeds for streaming short videos, playing music, and making video calls. Streaming from services such as Netflix and Hulu is not permitted. The package (per device) is $42 per day for one day or $34 per day for your entire cruise.
- Royal Suites and Concierge Guests receive a variety of complimentary internet packages depending on the stateroom category.
Keep in mind that these prices and packages are subject to change. In fact, in July, other packages (with different pricing and capabilities) were being tested on Disney Fantasy, but we don't know if or when these packages might be available in the future.
Donna, I'm sure you will find exactly what you need once onboard, but if you need assistance you can visit the Guest Services desk. It's fun to think about surfing the internet while sailing in the big blue world, isn't it? As Crush would say, "Woaaaah!" Sail by any time with other questions!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
