Ahoy there, Cody,
I’m happy to welcome you aboard planDisney! How exciting that you have a Disney Cruise Line vacation on the horizon and that you are already dreaming of another adventure!
Making a
Placeholder Reservation for a future Disney cruise while onboard is a great way to beat the end-of-vacation blues while you take advantage of a discount off prevailing rates on the Disney Cruise Line website and reduced deposits on 7-night or longer sailings (
subject to change, blockout dates, and to terms and conditions).
You will be happy to know that you can use a
Disney Gift Card to pay the deposit on your Placeholder Reservation. Now, rather than processing payment through the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, you will need to make a stop at the Disney Vacation Planning Desk (on Deck Four on all ships except Disney Wish, where it is located on Deck 5) in order to process payment. Check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the planning desk’s hours of operation and to join the virtual queue so that you don’t have to wait in line.
Cody, you will have 24 months from the date you purchase the placeholder to book a new cruise. If you decide not to book a new cruise at that time, a refund will be issued to your original form of payment. So, be sure to keep your gift card to streamline the process. However, if you misplace the card, just give a
Disney Cruise Line agent a call and they will help you with the refund. Fingers crossed that you will have a new cruise booked before too long!
I hope you have heard the big news about the
Disney Treasure! She is the newest ship in the fleet, and she is full of character and Characters! I have enjoyed exploring all that the Disney Treasure has to offer and look forward to sailing aboard this gorgeous ship in 2024.
Thanks for sailing by planDisney, Cody. If you have other questions, please let us know!
Wishing you many magical memories to treasure,
Shannon
