Welcome to planDisney, Paul.
I’m so glad you followed the trail of pixie dust that led you here to planDisney today and would be happy to help!
There are 10 of us when my multigenerational family takes a Walt Disney World Resort holiday together, so I completely understand your predicament. While some locations have been able to accommodate our large group at a single table together, there were other locations that could not and required us to split into two groups. My best suggestion is to
check for reservations for a party of 11 at
Chef Mickey’s, but if nothing is available, break your large party into two smaller groups and have one adult in each of those groups book separate dining reservations within the same time frame. Alternatively, you can
reach out to Disney Dining for assistance booking two simultaneous reservations for your group.
Once you check in at the restaurant, let the Cast Member at the check-in stand know you have two reservations and would like to be seated at tables near each other. They will do their best to accommodate your request, though it’s not a guarantee. This is precisely what my family group did on our last holiday and many times we were seated at adjacent tables. We could all still visit with one another, but we were ultimately at separate tables. I know splitting into two groups isn't ideal, but it may be necessary.
If being seated at the same table each meal is extremely important to you, here are a few of the restaurants I've had the most luck booking dining reservations at for larger groups. Perhaps these would be acceptable options for your party as well:
I hope this information proves useful, Paul. If you think of anything else we can help with, don’t hesitate to stop back by and let us know.
Think happy thoughts,
Alyssa
