Welcome to planDisney, Peter!
As the planner in my family, I completely get how important it is to make sure everyone’s on the same page when it comes to Disney travel plans, especially when there’s pixie dust involved!
It sounds like you might be familiar with the
Family & Friends List at Walt Disney World Resort, which allows Guests to share plans like dining reservations and enchanting extras in
My Disney Experience. While we don’t currently have an identical feature at Disneyland Resort,
the Disneyland app still offers some great tools for keeping your party connected. You can link park tickets and hotel reservations, making it easy to manage park reservations,
Lightning Lane return times, and more.
To get started, log into your MyDisney account in the app. Tap the menu icon (those three magical horizontal lines) in the bottom right corner and select “My Tickets and Passes.” From there, tap the plus icon at the top right and choose “Link Tickets and Passes.” You can enter each ticket’s barcode manually or use the app’s camera feature to scan and link in a flash. Once linked, everyone’s part of your MyDisney crew and ready for a day of fun!
You can also link hotel reservations online or in the app. Scroll down to “Hotel Reservations.” If nothing’s listed yet, tap “Link Another Reservation” and enter the reservation number, check-in date, and the name of a Guest on the booking. This step pulls everything together so your plans are easy to access at a moment’s notice.
Once you're connected, you'll be able to book Lightning Lanes, make park reservations, and enjoy shared access to your Disney PhotoPass photos. One trick my wife and I swear by is tag-teaming. I'll handle the Lighting Lane selections while she manages mobile food orders. It keeps things running smoothly and leaves more time for churros and character sightings!
Peter, my fellow panelist Tishra has
shared some great insights on this topic too, so feel free to check out her tips. And if you ever need more help planning your visit, we’re just a few clicks away at planDisney.
Wishing you magical moments and smooth planning,
David
