Hi, Attending the Tier 1 Lion King lunch, show at 5:30 with the safari tour to follow. Do you know the length of time the show is and that safari? I would like t make reservations.

    Jambo, Amy!

It sounds like you have a fantastic vacation coming up! Animal Kingdom Park is my family’s favorite Theme Park at the ‘World. We love the animal Cast Members, and the food at the park is delicious! Most of all, we love the Festival of the Lion King. My daughter has a running joke where she counts down to when I will cry during the showcase!

So your incredible experience is a three-part series, literally a trifecta of amazement! Part 1 is lunch or dinner at Tiffins. You will savor a 3-course meal that includes dessert, appetizer, and entrée (I highly recommend the tamarind-braised short rib). Plan on the meal lasting about an hour and a half. Part 2 is the Festival of the Lion King, a spectacular showcase where you will recognize the music, but experience a beloved tale in a breathtaking new way. The show is approximately 30 minutes, and you are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes before it starts. Part 3 is a unique guided safari, where a tour guide will acquaint you with the stars of the savanna! Since the animals are animals, all bets are off in terms of who you will see and how long the experience will be, but plan on the safari lasting approximately one hour, with the total experience being about 3.5 hours long.

Amy, you can make reservations online, and since schedules and showtimes are subject to change, keep an eye on your My Disney Experience app for up-to-date information. If for any reason you need to cancel, you can do so up to 48 hours in advance and receive a full refund. Please remember that the show and safari schedules are subject to inclement weather, delays, and cancellations without notice. If this happens, Cast Members will help you make the necessary changes to your arrangements.

If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back. Say hi to the rhinos for me!
