Hi, Are the resorts still able to refrigerate food on check-in/check-out days post Covid? We plan to bring home cookies from Gideon’s Bakehouse but don’t want them to melt in the Florida heat on our check-out day in September. Regards, Jackie

    Heigh-Ho Jackie

Thank you for bringing your sweet curiouser and curiouser inquiry to planDisney, it is important we keep these cookies safe from the evil curse of the Florida heat. And Bell Services will save the day.

Walt Disney World is an adventure of the tastes from savory to sweet to salty, everyone is sure to satisfy their craving. And when it comes to the sizable, baked, confectionery, creation of Gideon’s Bakehouse half-pound cookies then special care is a definite when transporting these delectable treasures home. Bell Services is very accommodating to their Guests and upon checking your luggage simply inform them of your culinary request. Just recently as I was transferring from one Disney Resort Collection hotel to another, I too, had some items I requested to stay cold and without a problem, my wish was granted. All good things and pixie dust come to those who ask with kindness and a smile.

As a side note, take a day to explore Disney Springs which has seen an onset of new storefronts. Typically, I will spend one whole day enjoying my Disney Resort Collection hotel and pool before heading over to Disney Springs for A LOT of shopping and dining.  It’s an adult Wonderland of stores and food and beverages and makes for a Practically Perfect Day.

If we can be of any further assistance, feel free to ask us at planDisney, and may your upcoming stay be filled with many magical and memorable moments.
