Hello, Lorraine!
Don't you hate it when your
Walt Disney World vacation is interrupted by an ear infection or some tummy upset? It has happened to us on many trips, and sometimes, when one kid comes down with something, the whole rest of the gang joins in. How's that for family bonding?
While you will find general
first aid services at Disney theme parks and water parks, there are no doctors onsite for medical treatment. There are, however, several urgent care facilities in the area. My family has always used Centra Care, which is located just outside of the Walt Disney World resort area. The good thing about Centra Care, especially if you're using Disney transportation and will be without a car, is that they provide shuttle service to and from your resort. You don't need an appointment, although you can call and make one, or make one online. For transportation or an appointment, call 407-934-2273.
Centra Care can also provide an on-call doctor that will come to your resort room. Another area service is Doctors On Call, and you can reach them at 407-399-DOCS. They provide in room medical treatment 24 hours a day.
You can always call the front desk if you need assistance, and you can dial 911 from your resort room telephone. Celebration Hospital is also just a quick Uber or cab ride away.
I certainly hope you never need any of these services, but I'm so glad to help in case you do.
Happy planning!
Anna
