Hi! I I am 31, my parents (mid-60s) and I, are thinking of coming to WDW for 10 days. Is there enough to do if we don't visit theme parks every day? We are on a bit of budget, walking is a bit hard for mummy, but we love to shop and swim! Great panel! Thx

    Hi Rebecca!

YES!! My parents (who are well past that age) still vacation down here every year! They find plenty to do and rarely enter the parks! Besides enjoying time at your resort and swimming, here are some ideas of ways to spend your days.

    1) Resort hop - Spend a few days visiting resorts. One day can be spent riding the monorail and visiting the Polynesian, Grand Floridian and Contemporary. Get off at each spot and explore the grounds. Check out the different shops - even if its just for window shopping! Try a Dole Whip at Captain Cooks at the Polynesian. Grab a snack (or full meal) at the other resorts. Take your time.  Other resorts worth visiting are the Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge. Ask for a calendar of events at each resort. Maybe you'll find something you'd like to go back to enjoy - like African Storytelling around a fire at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

    2) Enjoy Downtown Disney - You can easily spend a few days here as well. Shopping and dining abound, but so do fun things like bowling at Splitsville and an awesome movie theater where you can dine while you catch the latest flicks! Take it slow and enjoy a small section at a time.

    3) Head into the parks for specific events - Go see a parade, enjoy a meal and Illuminations, see Fantasmic. Keep your visits targeted so that you're minimizing running all over the parks and tiring your folks out. Be sure to put a rest day in between park visits so that you're not doing back to back touring.

Hope some of these ideas help!
