Hi Melissa,
Planning your first cruise is such an exciting time! I do have to warn you that once you start cruising, you won't want to stop! My family loves to cruise because of everything that is included in your cruise fare-accommodations, food, non-alcoholic beverages, entertainment, activities, recreation, sports, kids' activities and some fantastic ports of call! Being able to unpack once and enjoy the ever changing scenery is the magic of a mobile destination like a Disney Cruise Ship!
Your princesses will be in heaven in the Oceaneer Club and Lab! Each day you will receive a Personal Navigator, a daily activity guide, that will list all the ship has to offer for your family! Bring a highlighter along and mark which activities sound like fun! The youth spaces are usually open from 9:00am to 12:00am, and you can check-in and out as often as you like! I have a hard time getting my kids to want to leave because they don't want to miss a thing! While your kiddos are checked in, make sure you and your husband slip away for some adult time at Palo, the adult-only restaurant, the Vista Spa, or for some coffee at Cove Cafe. At night, the entertainment is spectacular! You won't believe the caliber of talent Disney Cruise Line has at sea!
Even though you will be in Alaska don't forget to pack the swimsuits! The pools are heated to a toasty 90 degrees for your enjoyment!
The 2011 DCL Mom, Andi, made some wonderful
Alaskan Videos to help Guests just like you! Have a look and let me know what further questions you have!
Have a "Wonder"ful day!
