Hey y'all! So my family and I will be coming this december to disney, and so I was just curious as to what the typical weather is like in Florida...I am not sure what to pack and yes we've got 4 more months but it's still nice to have an idea. Thank you!

    Hi Hannah,

The daily highs in December average in the low 70s, while the night time lows average in the low 50s. The weather in December is usually dry and sunny.

That being said, you should remember that those temperatures are only averages. I've visited Walt Disney World many times in December. I've had days when I wore jackets and gloves because it never got out of the 40s and I've had days where i bought another pair of shorts because it was in high 80s.

You should absolutely check the weekly forecast on weather.com a few days before your trip so that you can fine tune your packing based on actual circumstances.

In general, for winter trips to WDW, I bring clothes that can be layered. For example, I'll wear a short sleeved tee, covered by a long sleeve tee, covered by a sweatshirt or jacket. By doing this, I'll be protected from the morning chill, but can peel off layers as the day warms up.

You should also be aware that all the Disney pools are heated year round. I often see guests swimming or using the hot tubs even when the air temperature is low.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
