Hey! This week my family is planning on arriving early to Hollywood Studios to ride Rise of the Resistance (like everyone else) and I was wondering if guests who get into a boarding group can leave the park while waiting for their time or not? Thanks!

Bright suns, Padraig! I hear you'll soon be exploring a galaxy far, far away! Batuu, a remote planet near the outer rim of the galaxy, is where the Resistance has set up a base camp for a secret mission. Rey is anxiously looking for recruits, but watch out for for the Stormtroopers, who enjoy exhibiting their power and strength of the First Order.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance takes guests on 360-degree experience inside a Star Destroyer and allows you to come face to face with one of Star Wars' most formidable villains, Kylo Ren. On the opening day of the attraction, the Disney Parks Blog confirmed that Rise of the Resistance would temporarily use a virtual queue system called Boarding Groups, which works through the My Disney Experience mobile app. Although guests must be inside Disney's Hollywood Studios to access the virtual queue, they are free to leave the Park after they have been assigned to a Boarding Group. Once your Boarding Group is called, you have two hours to get back, check-in, and enter the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance queue. Check your phone's settings to make sure your push notifications are enabled. When your group's turn arrives, you'll get a notification in the app.

May the Force be with you, Padraig!
