Hey! We have tickets for the 70th tour in Disneyland. I know we get reserved seating for Paint the Night parade. I can't find where that viewing location is & if we go to the 8:45 or 10:45 parade. Can you please help me with that? Thanks!

Welcome back to planDisney, Tiffany! Your Disneyland Resort visit is just around the corner, and I couldn’t be more excited for you. With the 70th Anniversary Celebration in full swing, you’re arriving at the perfect time to soak up all the nostalgia, magic, and sparkle the resort has to offer. I had the chance to visit during the official kickoff, and let me tell you, the festivities are absolutely top-notch!

As you mentioned, one of the standout features of the “A Story of Celebration” guided tour is access to a reserved viewing area for Paint the Night on the evening of your tour. This section is located in Town Square Plaza, directly across from the stairs that lead to the Disneyland Railroad Main Street Station. While chairs aren’t provided, you’ll be able to sit curbside and enjoy a front-row view of the glowing floats as they glide by to an electrifying soundtrack. A quick Q-Tip: even though this is a reserved section, I recommend arriving a little early, since guests from other tour groups will also be joining for the same performance.

Regarding which performance of Paint the Night will be included with your tour, I reached out to the Guest Information line and spoke with Stephanie, who shared that unfortunately, they can’t guarantee which performance you’ll have access to. Timing depends on several operational factors. However, during my visit on May 16, tour guests were seated for the first performance of the evening. I suggest confirming this with your Tour Guide when you check in, just to be sure!

While you're at the resort, I also highly recommend catching Tapestry of Happiness, the whimsical projection show on the “it’s a small world” façade. It’s a beautifully nostalgic tribute to Disneyland’s attractions, history, and music, and it pairs perfectly with the storytelling and insight you’ll enjoy on your guided tour. Check the Disneyland app for showtimes. It’s a must-see in my book.

I hope this helps build your excitement for your upcoming visit, Tiffany! If any other questions come up before you arrive, we’re always here at planDisney and happy to help every step of the way.

    Wishing you a magical stay,
     David
