Hey there! I’m travelling to the magical Disney World in March ‘23 staying in coronado springs. As it currently stands you can’t send your souvenirs back to the room or front gate etc. what do you do with those items while you continue to ride rides?

    Hannah,

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

I do miss the convenience of being able to send a purchase made in the parks back to my resort room, or even to the theme park front gate, while I enjoy the rest of my day. Hopefully, as we return to normal that service will resume. I always recommend you continue to check the Disney Parks Blog to see if that happens, and of course feel free to send planDisney another question a little closer to your vacation time.

But what do you do if package pickup is still not available?

My advice to you is to rent a locker. There are lockers available in all of the Disney theme parks. They are at the front of each park after passing through the turnstiles, and there are a few locker sizes available. They are keyless and typically will cost you $15 or less for the day, but prices can change, so make sure you check before your vacation to see what the current rates are, by locker size. Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park have lockers that are as large as 15.5" x 13" x 17" (39.37 cm x 33.02 cm x 43.18 cm). The Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT even have a few jumbo sized lockers available that are up to 17" x 22" x 26" (43 cm x 55 cm x 66 cm).

I prefer to do this because, like you, I really don't want to lug my purchases around all day long. My kids are teenagers now, and no longer in strollers, so we can't stuff our bags in there either. Lockers have become a new feature to our family vacations.

    BONUS TIP
More and more of the Disney resort hotels have gotten office centers. These are great if you have more to ship home than you can fit into your luggage. You could box up your purchases and ship them home, saving yourself the headache of cramming everything into already over-stuffed luggage. Not every hotel has one, but if you think this is a service you might need, write me back and let me know where you are staying. I can let you know if your resort has one, or where the nearest one might be.

Please feel free to write me back directly with any follow-up questions.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
