Welcome, to planDisney, Michael!
Ah, l’amour! I'm thrilled to see your romantic question because I consider myself to be
a bit of a love expert. My Prince Charming and I have made this event a tradition! Sweethearts' Nite at Disneyland Park is always such a magical evening. And with all this romance in the air, I can tell that you and your Sweetheart will find yourselves finishing each other’s...sandwiches!
Monte Cristos, obviously.
Unfortunately,
the famous Monte Cristo sandwich isn’t available in Downtown Disney District restaurants, but don't fret! You’ll find this delicacy where it belongs- in New Orleans Square. Last year, my husband and I shared a Sweethearts’ Nite themed meal at
Café Orleans, where the Monte Cristo is normally served, and it was nothing short of
magnifique!The
Blue Bayou Restaurant is another romantic spot that serves Monte Cristos and is likely to be open during this
Disneyland After Dark event. There’s something so swoon-worthy about dining under twinkling fireflies while drifting boats from Pirates of the Caribbean glide by. Dining reservations are now open for the date that you’re planning to visit, and since Valentine’s week is so popular, I’d recommend booking a table as soon as possible if that’s where you’d like to dine. And believe me, if you’re determined to try that Monte Cristo, the dreamy atmosphere of Blue Bayou will perfectly complement your fairy tale evening.
Finally, be sure to keep a close watch on the Disney Parks Blog.
Specialty food offerings for Sweethearts’ Nite will be announced any moment now, and these culinary creations are always crafted with a sprinkle of pixie dust and a whole lot of love. From heart-shaped treats to themed plates that celebrate Disney couples, there’s bound to be something deliciously romantic to enjoy alongside your quest for fried chicken plates. Have a wonderful time, Michael! I'm wishing you and your sweetheart a night filled with love and laughter as you celebrate your happily ever after!
Love is an open door!Danielle
