Hey Moms! we are staying at the Wilderness lodge may 19-26 was wondering what the is the best place to eat if were celebrating our anniversary we would prefer NOT to be in a signature restaurant any suggestion??? Thanks

There are many wonderful dining spots at Disney that are not in the signature category. My recommendations are mainly at Epcot because you can combine great food with romantic scenery or entertainment.

    - The new Hacienda de San Angel at Epcot's Mexico pavilion has terrific authentic Mexican dishes. As an added bonus, nearly all the seats in the house face panoramic windows overlooking the water. Aim to get a seating near Illuminations time and you can have a show with your dinner.
    - The Rose & Crown at the England pavilion also offers views of Illuminations from many seats.
    - The giant aquarium at Epcot's Coral Reef provides relaxing entertainment, dim lighting, and delicious seafood.
    - The Chef's de France restaurant at Epcot really feels like a Parisian bistro. Ooooh la la.

You also have options at Downtown Disney:

    - Portobello has excellent Italian food.
    - Paradiso offers modern Latin fare.
    - Fulton's Crab House offers the freshest seafood around.

If you want to stay close to home, you should know that the Territory Lounge at the Wilderness Lodge is a nice spot to grab a light bite. In addition to a full bar and nice wine selections, the Territory Lounge also serves the same cheese tasting platter that is available at Artist Point next door. I've also had good luck with the salmon cakes there.

Happy anniversary and enjoy your stay at Walt Disney World.
