Hey! We will be staying off site and my husband will drive us to the parks. Is it possible that he drops us at the Caribbean Resort, so we could take the skyliner to Epcot or to Hollywood Studios?

Hello there Melanie, and welcome to planDisney!

The Disney Skyliner is definitely one of the best and most efficient ways of getting between the theme parks and Disney Resort Hotels, and as it celebrates its fifth birthday it's almost hard to imagine what it was like before this existed! When it comes to gaining access to locations like Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort without being a guest staying there, it's important to keep a few things in mind:

    • The Parking and Security Cast Members who work at the booths at the entrances to the Disney Resort Hotels have been notably more strict about which guests may pass through - even when simply dropping off. I've observed that this is especially the case during popular times of the year or when parking spaces may be limited; you may be requested at any time to show proof of your stay at that particular resort or a dining reservation and it is never guaranteed that the Cast Members will allow you entry without one of these (as it is sometimes up to their discretion or that of their management).
    • To avoid the risk of being turned away, your husband may have better luck dropping you off at the Walt Disney World Swan or Dolphin Hotels, which are still a short distance away from Disney's BoardWalk where you can head directly into EPCOT via the International Gateway entrance or take the Disney Skyliner to Disney's Hollywood Studios at the adjacent station. (Since he'll just be dropping you off and not parking either way, it might just be easier to be dropped off at each of the theme parks directly instead, while factoring some time into your day to take a little break with a breezy Disney Skyliner ride!)
Keep in mind that policies are always subject to change without prior notice here at Walt Disney World Resort, and I'm hoping that you'll be able to successfully be dropped off without any issue in order to soar off on your journey to the theme parks!
