Ahoy, Robin!
Our family has cruise multiple times in December and January. Since we travel from the frozen, snow-covered land of Chicago, our children have always found it plenty warm to enjoy the pools onboard. I even tried the
Aquadunk on our New Year's Eve cruise, so I will safely say it should be warm enough to enjoy the pools.
The ocean in the Bahamas is another story. Of the four cruises we have taken in December and January, we were able to enjoy the ocean on half of them. On one cruise, the weather was lovely and sunny, but the water was quite chilly. Now, that being said, there were other passengers frolicking in the water, I simply chose to keep the feeling in my extremities. On another, however, I sat in a beach chair in the shallow water for the entire visit to
Castaway Cay.
There is really no telling what the water will be like, but you will be on a Disney Cruise, so life is pretty great at that point! I hope you have a wonderful land and sea vacation in 2016! I look forward to answering more questions for you before you set sail!
Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
