Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Chelsey!
I am thrilled to hEAR your family is headed to the
Caribbean for a high seas adventure! December is a great time to sail as all of the ships are decorated for the holidays and the
Very Merrytime cruises. What a wonderful gift to give your family this year!
Disney Cruise Line makes
cruising with even the youngest pirates easy. From thoughtful staterooms, provided amenities,
youth clubs and onboard activities designed for preschoolers to teens, there is something for everyone during your sailing.
Port Adventures can be challenging for guests traveling with tiny pirates. There are minimum ages on many of these adventures to ensure the safety of all guests during the tours. For example, stingray adventures are often in the ocean water which could create a safety challenge for pirates under five years old.
I would recommend looking for Port Adventures that are tours or boat excursions. You can
filter the available Port Adventures by nature, sightseeing and cultural with mild activity to find many of the tours without a minimum age. On my favorite island, Castaway Cay, you could book the
Glass Bottom Boat Scenic Voyage which cruises around the island's coral reefs that you could all enjoy together.
You can also reserve time for your youngest in the
"it's a small world" nursery while the ship is in port if you have a specific Port Adventure you'd like to take that they are unable to participate in. Make this reservation early as time in the nursery (available for an additional fee) books up quickly.
Sail back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel as you continue to plan your adventure. We are happy to help you with all your cruising questions!
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
