Hey panel! Do we tip the resort maids that clean our rooms and if so, how do we go about doing it? Is there a laundry area that we can wash and dry out clothes while staying at the resort? Thank you!

Hi, Angela, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for bringing us another great question. I cannot even begin to describe how much I appreciate the Cast Members that come every day to straighten our room while on vacation. These wonderful people, whom we lovingly call "Mousekeepers," make our stay supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! To show our appreciation, I do leave a tip for them each morning before we head out to the theme parks. Normally, I leave around $1 - $2 per person staying in the room, a tad more if we have been super messy. The tip is generally left in an obvious place - a bedside table or on the bathroom sink if it is not too cluttered - with a little note expressing our gratitude so that they will know the money is meant for them.

Each Walt Disney World Resort hotel does have one or more guest laundry rooms available for use. The cost is currently $2.00 per load and all machines take credit or debit cards. The washers and dryers do run pretty quickly, so I can usually get a load washed and dried in the time it would normally take me to just wash a load at home! You will find a machine in each laundry room that carries detergent and fabric softener. While washing clothes on vacation is not something we normally get excited about, there is one really magical aspect about doing laundry at Walt Disney World Resort. So that you can continue to lounge by the pool and not stand in a laundry room, simply head to the website LaundryView.com/Disneyworld to keep an eye on your load. This site will keep you up-to-date on how long is left in the cycle and if there is an issue. You can even have it send you a message when your laundry is ready! How cool is that?!?

Thanks so much for stopping by today and please let us know if you have any other questions!
