    Hey Panel! 39 days! What are the advantages and risks for advanced check in

    Hi John!

    Guests staying at one of the Walt Disney World hotels have the option of checking-in at the resort or they are offered the convenience of checking-in online.

    Online check-in is available to guest up to ten days prior to arrival. Guests are able to confirm their registration, names of additional guests, place a credit card on file for room charges, and note any special requests. When arriving at your resort, guests who have completed online check-in are able to use a separate line at registration and have their KTTW cards ready and waiting for them, depending on arrival time.

    Having used both processes, I can say that online check-in does save me a bit of time at the registration desk. They confirm your credit card and names of guests on your KTTW card, as well as provide you pertinent information about your resort. The one drawback of online check-in is that should a guest want to change rooms, or request an upgrade, the process takes a bit longer, and some guests have noted that when doing online check-in the rooms given them are pre assigned, and have had difficulty changing or upgrading. It is a convenient process for all guests.
