Hey Nancy. So which is your favorite Disney Cruise ship? I took the family on the Magic in 2009. How different is the ship now and where can I get a Mickey Ice cream bar on board?

    Ahoy Ari!
I've been lucky enough to sail on all four vessels in the Disney fleet so it really is hard to pinpoint which one is my favorite!  I have special and unique memories on each one so if I'm cruising with Mickey life is good!
My most recent sailing was on the newly re-imagined Magic!  My family had been on the Magic three previous times so we were very excited to see the enhancements made during the dry dock.  We were all blown away with the work done in such a short amount of time!  Many areas of the ship such as the Grand Lobby Atrium, Cabanas (Topsider Buffet), Palo (adult-only restaurant), Carioca's (Parrot Cay), Animator's Palate, Senses Spa (Vista Spa), D Lounge (Studio Sea), It's a Small World Nursery (Flounder's Reef) and the adult-entertainment area, After Hours (Beat Street) all received fresh new looks!  One of the biggest changes to the ship was in the Oceaneer Club and Lab!  Hands down this was my son's very spot to be during our sailing.  He couldn't get enough of the innovative fun offered in Marvel's Avengers Academy and the pirate themed areas of the Oceaneer Lab!  If my son wasn't in the club and lab, he was being launched through the incredible AquaDunk body slide!  He kept track and ended up going on this exhilarating ride 55 times!  This slide is one of many new additions to the pool deck.  The Mickey pool is now an interactive water playground area with a 250 ft slide called Twist' n' Spout right next to all the new splashtacular fun!
Something else to highlight is the updated Animator's Palate!  As you dine in this venue, the magic of Disney and Pixar animation come to life right before your eyes during your meal!
I'm sure I'm leaving out other areas that received pixie dust so I encourage you to check out the 2014 sailings for the Magic!
And I can't forget Mickey Bars!  They are available in the dining rooms and via room service.
    Have a magical day!
    Nancy
