Hey Moms! I was planning to have breakfast at the Crystal Palace but was not as interested in dining with the characters. Is there an option for that at that particular restaurant? Thanks!

    Hi Bailey,

The Crystal Palace only offers character dining experiences. There is no "no character" option.

Even if you're traveling solo or in a group of adults, I'd encourage you to try dining there anyway. The Crystal Palace is the only buffet-style table service venue in the Magic Kingdom. You have lots of yummy options to suit most palates, and the all-you-care-to-eat policy means that you'll get your money's worth on food.

I've eaten at character meals on my own several times. I like that the characters stop by and "say" hello. It breaks up the dining experience and makes it seem like you've come with friends.

I've also dined at character meals with adult groups several times, occasionally with someone who's not in the mood for character interaction. In situations like this, you're welcome to speak with a character handler and ask that your meal not be interrupted. You can also just wave to the characters and politely say "No thank you" when they stop by. They will move along quickly. This technique also works if you're dining with a small child with a character phobia. Just tell the character and the handlers that you don't want to participate and they will bypass your table.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. We're happy to help.
