Hey Moms! I want to use mobile order on my next trip, but don't like the idea of using my debit card to purchase food on the app. Can I use a Visa gift Card instead? Would it be the same as a regular credit card? Thanks!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Todd! Before you know it, you’ll be enjoying a magical vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort! Thanks for stopping in with your question.

At the moment, you are not able to link any kind of gift card directly to your My Disney Experience app. You can, however, add a gift card balance to your Disney Resort hotel bill, which will then go toward any purchases made with your MagicBand during your visit.

Here’s a little background on how it works. Any charges made with your MagicBand go back to your Disney Resort hotel bill. After your stay, those charges go directly to the credit or debit card on file. You can call a Resort Reservation Cast Member at (407) 939-1936 before your visit and tell them you’d like to add a gift card to your Disney Resort hotel bill. After you’ve exhausted your gift card amount, any additional charges will go to the card you have on file.

Todd, did you know that you can use Disney Dining Plan credits to pay for Mobile Orders placed using your My Disney Experience app? You will see the option to use snack or dining credits right before you check out.

I hope this information is useful to you as you continue to put those finishing touches on your upcoming trip. Don’t hesitate to come back to see us if you have any more questions. It’s our pleasure to help you!
