Ahoy, Amanda!
It is wonderful to hEAR from you again and thank you for the Moms Panel love! We are so glad we've been able to assist you with your Disney vacation plans.
I really wish I had a crystal ball to give you an exact answer for this question, but I can only share with you my best guess according to how Disney Cruise Line has released dates in the past. Historically, summer dates have been released in late winter to early spring for the following summer. If dates for summer 2019 have not been released by your cruise, my advice is to go ahead and book a placeholder since your cruise date will fall within the two year window guidelines set by Disney. You will still get to take advantage of the onboard credit for your future cruise and the 10 percent off as long as your sail date does not fall in the blocked out dates. Once you return home, you'll want to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and the
Disney Cruise Line website for any summer of 2019 announcements. Once reservations open up, you'll be able to move your placeholder to your preferred sail date by calling (800) 951-3532 or by contacting your Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. Rates are typically lower at the time of release, so I suggest being ready to move your date when your Castaway Club level is eligible to book (one day before the General Public for Silver).
Amanda, I recommend visiting the
Disney Vacation Planning desk sooner than later on your cruise to book your placeholder. I sailed in April and visited on Day One, and it only took a couple of minutes to complete my request. On the last night, I noticed there was a quite a wait so plan ahead!
Thank you again for sailing by with another great question!
Nancy
