Hey Moms!!!! I'm looking to book a cruise on the Dream in Sept and I was wondering how much time does everyone stay in the staterooms? Just wondering if I should book an inside staterooms or one of the others with a porthole view?

Welcome aboard, Vanessa! Isn't it exciting to begin planning your very first cruise with Disney? There is something for everyone in the family on Disney's ships! From exciting Family Activities to Youth Clubs for the kids to Adult Entertainment, you will not be bored, that's for sure! Plus, top that off with their world class dining and accommodations, and you've got one fabulous vacation.

With all of those activities and events that take place all day and night, many guests find that they don't spend much time at all in their stateroom. My family usually is only in our stateroom to sleep, shower and change for dinner, and the occasional nap or breakfast in bed on a lazy morning. Other than that, with two active kids, we're out to enjoy the ship and explore the ports of call.

If you won't mind not having a porthole or verandah, it certainly saves money (that you can put toward some exciting Port Adventures!) if you book an inside stateroom. In fact, the Dream makes the inside staterooms even more fun by the addition of the Magical Porthole with real-time views of outside the ship and virtual visits from Disney characters who pop into your porthole to say hello every now and then!

But if your family is more the type to enjoy your own space, hang out in your stateroom more often or just really want your own outdoor spot, choose a porthole or verandah stateroom. Honestly, my family has sailed in all three and we don't mind which one as long as we're onboard a Disney ship!

So, choose the one that best fits your budget and start planning, Vanessa! Stop back again if you have other questions before you set sail! I'm happy to help!
