Hey there! We are heading to Orlando for an off property conference but, we want to stay at a Disney Resort and utilize the dining plan. Can we purchase park tickets through the conference instead of when we book the room and qualify for a dining plan?

Welcome to planDisney! Matthew, I bet you are excited about this conference and vacation combination trip. I love to multi-task and this visit sounds like it will be double duty.

We have one big thing in common, wanting to stay at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel. Staying inside the magic makes me feel right at home, and visiting the parks is always on my to-do list. The Disney Dining Plan is a wonderful option when you are purchasing a vacation package through Disney. Unfortunately you will not qualify for this plan if you are purchasing tickets through your conference. You may want to weigh out your options in terms of costs to see which option gives you the best value for your dollar. Sometimes you are able to purchase discounted tickets through the conference you are attending. Some of the Special Offers may give you some options to weigh as well.

If you love to eat be sure to check out one of my favorite places to make some of the hardest decisions of my vacation. Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie and all of the wonderful sandwiches are one thing. But this traditional French bakery has all of the tantalizing sweets that will make you contemplate living a parisian lifestyle for good. The Croissant Jambon Fromage is so buttery soft, and is my favorite EPCOT breakfast. Always buy a baguette or two, one for eating now and one for walking and waiting on lines. Trust me, it is never a bad idea to have an extra baguette. Now the sweets, I cannot help you with. There are too many to chose from but I will try. The mousse au chocolat, taste aux fraises, and créme brûlée are always targets of mine. You will love these guaranteed, and there is an entire case of other delicious treats.

I hope your summer visit is a successful one, and if you aren't able to do the dining plan think about buying a gift card to budget for your food. It is a nice way to keep things in check and pre-pay for your meals ahead of time.

    See ya real soon,
