Hey Guys, looking for some advice on Character Breakfasts at WDW. Wife and I and our 9-month old son are staying at POR-Riv(10/3-10/8) and looking for suggestions on some character bfasts to take our son to. Whaddya guys think???

Hi, Louis!  There are quite a few options as far as restaurants go, but I strongly recommend that you call right away to book a reservation.  The phone number is 407-939-3463.  Many of the character meals book pretty far in advance.

If you are going into the Magic Kingdom, one of our favorite meals is the Crystal Palace.  They do a buffet at breakfast, lunch and dinner with the characters from Winnie the Pooh.  Two of my three daughters were afraid of the characters, but they seemed to do okay with Winnie the Pooh.  The buffet offers a wonderful selection at all of the meals, and the character interaction is usually great.

Another location that we like is the Cape May Character Buffet at the Beach Club resort.  I like breakfast here because it gives me a chance to walk around the Boardwalk area early in the morning, when it's peaceful and really beautiful, but the meal, buffet again, features Goofy and Minnie in swim wear, which makes for some cute photographs.

Chef Mickey's is probably the most popular character buffet at Walt Disney World.  The restaurant is located in the Contemporary Resort, and the characters usually include Mickey, Minnie and Goofy.  This is a good location to get to if you are at the Magic Kingdom.  They typically serve breakfast and dinner buffets here, but occasionally add a lunch time meal when it's busy.

I hope you have a wonderful time!
