Hey! We are fast approaching our ADR day and having looked for tables of 10 to test the waters it looks near impossible for certain restaurants like The BOATHOUSE. My parents are turning 60 so we’re really aiming to sit together as much as possible.

    Hey there, Ryan!

I'm so happy to welcome you back to planDisney! It's always a pleasure to see returning Guests, and we really appreciate you bringing your question our way. Being even a small part of your vacation planning journey is something we genuinely enjoy, and we're glad to help you along the way.

How exciting that you’ll be visiting Walt Disney World this summer with a large group, and celebrating your parents’ birthdays makes the trip even more special! The BOATHOUSE is such a wonderful choice for a celebratory meal. The waterfront atmosphere is fantastic, and the menu has so many delicious options to enjoy together.

You’re absolutely right that securing dining reservations for larger parties can sometimes be a bit challenging. When I’ve run into this, I’ve had success booking two separate reservations at the same time, or within about 10–15 minutes of each other. Upon arrival, you can simply check in with a Cast Member and let them know your party is together and celebrating a special occasion. While seating can’t be guaranteed, Cast Members do their very best to accommodate larger groups and often will seat you together or very close to one another so you can still enjoy the experience as a group.

Don’t forget to pick up complimentary Celebration Buttons for your parents during your visit! You can find them at the front desk of your Disney Resort or at any Guest Relations location throughout the theme parks. It’s such a simple touch, but it really adds to the magic. Cast Members and even fellow Guests love stopping to share well wishes and help you celebrate.

Ryan, I hope you and your family have a truly special trip filled with memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you so much for visiting us at planDisney!

    Magic Awaits,
