    Hey Doug! We will be traveling to "the World" May 30-June 6. Between Memorial Weekend, GayDays Expo and Star Wars Weekend, we are expecting large crowds.Any ideas to make this a tolerable experience? First trip for family (kids ages 7, 5 and 2.)

    Franchesca,

    I know it can seem a bit intimidating that so many big events are going on while you are there, but don't let it get you down. Managing your way through the crowds is not as hard as you may expect. Here are a few ideas;

    1. Visit Hollywood Studios on non-Star Wars Weekend days during your trip, if you can.
    2. If you can't avoid them, then at least shoot for your arriving Sunday, or the following Saturday. Typically for Star Wars Weekends you want to go for the Sunday, but at the end of your trip there are other activities that may make it a bit busy.
    3. Avoid the "park of the day" on the GayDays schedule. That way you are going away from the larger event crowds. You can look these up on their website.
    4. For Memorial Weekend your real concern is that Monday. Any holiday makes the Magic Kingdom busy, so shoot for another park.
    5. All trip long I would avoid Morning Extra Magic Hours. Evening ones are not necessarily bad, but the morning ones pack the crowds in during that time of the year.

    Let me know if I can help more!

    Have a magical vacation!
