    Hey Doug, thanks for the rec. for 1st WDW trip. You asked if i needed dining help...yes! We have a dining plan and my table service meals are the problem. My 6yo is picky, will eat chicken strips, steak/hb patty, fried fish, fries. Dinner sug...Char. brkf?

    Ronny,

    OK, now for the fun part of the planning!

    First, know that even most of the more exotic restaurants make sure to have kid-friendly choices. So your chances of trying something fun for you, but accommodating for them, is really within reach. But here are a few of the safer suggestions, based on my original schedule from the first answer;

  • May 23 - Magic Kingdom
  • May 24 - Animal Kingdom (AM) / Hollywood Studios (PM)
  • May 25 - Epcot (AM) / Water Park (afternoon) / Epcot (evening)
    • Dinner: Le Cellier
  • May 26 - Hollywood Studios (AM) / Magic Kingdom (PM)
    • Dinner: Whispering Canyon Cafe (at Wilderness Lodge)
  • May 27 - Magic Kingdom (AM) / Water Park (afternoon) / Hollywood Studios (PM)
    • Dinner: Sci-Fi Drive-In Diner
  • May 28 - Magic Kingdom

    So those are my initial suggestions. Where are you staying? There are many great resort-based restaurants too that you might consider!

    As for character meals, your 12 year old may not be in love with them, but the ones I listed here are  great because they are buffets, offering broader food selections.

    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
