Hey Doug you seem to be the go to man. I will be in WDW 12/14-12/20 This is my wife and daughter's (4) first trip. What can I do to make it even more memorable for them? Thanks.

    Sean,

Never forget that simply being there is a special moment!

But that is not really what you are asking.

If I were in your shoes, I would make sure to have at least one nice meal (i.e. something that would really appeal to your wife, vs. your daughter). Either have your daughter spend the evening in one of the great Child Activity Centers in the deluxe resorts so you two can have a romantic evening. Or you could get your daughter dressed up nicely and treat your wife to a lovely family evening. I always recommend California Grill, but really go with whatever seems to appeal to her.

You might also consider booking a PhotoPass photo session to capture some great family shots? My family is getting its Christmas card photo taken this way, and it is convenient, affordable, and memorable!

Final idea, consider spending a bit extra and get tickets to the Christmas party in the Magic Kingdom. It is a really nice experience, and gets you in the holiday mood!

If you write me back and tell me more about what they both like to do, maybe I can even dive deeper on some good ideas?

    Have a magical vacation!
