Hey moms & dads. you guys are AWESOME. Hubby and I are going to WDW in May for anniversary. We have stayed at several deluxe hotels never AKL would love some feedback on it. AKL or WL? Once again thanks for all your advice.

    Lisa,

I love both the Wilderness Lodge and the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Both are great for the deep theming, and amenities. If I were coming with younger kids, I would prefer the Wilderness Lodge for the proximity to the Magic Kingdom.

But if I were coming just with my wife, especially for an anniversary getaway, I would opt for the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The public areas are just exotic enough to make it fun to explore the resort, the dining is over the top for meal options, and the savannah views make for special experiences.

I don't think you need to spend the extra money on the savannah view, though if you can afford it, it can really put your romantic getaway over the top. Who doesn't like to see giraffes and zebras outside their window in the morning?

    Have a magical vacation!
