Hey Carolina Girl! Will the fireworks schedules be out in time to schedule Pirate &Pal voyage? We are staying at Contemporary in late Dec this year. Also, how long are the "Santa" in WS? We have been this time of year before, but any other tip

    Hi Jennifer!

Thanks so much for the question! I love the Carolinas and am a true Carolina Girl, born and raised in NC!

The Pirates and Pals Firework Voyage is a great experience, with songs, tales of adventure and a view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks. The fireworks schedule, park hours and the ability to make reservations all are released 180 days in advance. You can book your Pirates and Pals voyage 180 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-PLAY. Beginning April 2012, the cruise will set sail one hour and 30 minutes prior to the scheduled fireworks show.

The Contemporary is an awesome resort, you are going to love it! It is especially beautiful decorated for Christmas. The tree is amazing and you won't want to miss the gingerbread house. You can even purchase gingerbread goodies, including gingerbread ornaments, decorations and cookies. Yum!

The schedule for Santa visits hasn't been released for December 2012, but last year Santa was in the Magic Kingdom greeting guests from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from 12/1 to 12/24. Santa also can be found at Downtown Disney from November to December 24 and Santa Goofy was in Downtown Disney until January 1st.  Many resort lobbies also have a visit from Santa on Christmas Eve.  You can also see Santa in the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, but last year it looks like the last show was on December 18.

You will still get to see the beautiful Christmas decorations, trees and lights at Walt Disney World in late December. Another tip for visiting this time of year is to visit each of the WDW resorts and enjoy the beautiful Christmas decorations and trees.

I hope you have a magical vacation! Please let me know if I can help you with anything else at all!

    Magically,
    Stacy
