Hey Moms! We should be arriving at our resort at least 30-1 hour before our dining reservation at Boatwrights. We are staying at Port Orleans. What should we do first - check in or go straight to the restaurant? Thank you and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

    Hi Angela,

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too! I know I'm definitely thankful for all of the magic and fun that my family has been able to enjoy at the Walt Disney World Resort this year, and I'm so happy to hear that you'll soon be there to enjoy your own incredible vacation!

You're going to love dining at Boatwright's Dining Hall! Packed with delicious New Orleans flavors and lots of southern charm, you're sure to enjoy kicking off your vacation here. I'd encourage you to play your check-in by ear. When you arrive, see what the lines are like, and possibly even ask a Cast Member if you'll have enough time to complete your check-in before your dining reservation. If you don't get a chance to, though, no worries! You can easily stop by the front desk and do that afterwards. Or, one other option to consider is that you're able to complete your check-in online before you even arrive. You'll receive your MagicBands in the mail, and can simply be notified by text message and/or email when your Resort hotel room is ready. With online check-in, you won't even need to stop by the front desk!

With so many wonderful recreation opportunities available and a gorgeous, peaceful setting along the Sassagoula River, you'll love your stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. It will definitely make a wonderful home away from home as you explore the most magical place on earth.

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Angela, and please let us know if you have any other questions as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
