    Hey Amanda, We are from NC and will be going to DW Sept 11-24 2011. Our sons will be 13 on the 13th. Does DW do any thing special for B-Days? is there a schedule for the characters autographs? Thanks,

    Hi Cynthia! It's so nice to hear from a fellow Carolina girl! You've picked a great time to visit Walt Disney World! The parks are generally very uncrowded in September so there's a good chance you'll get to experience lots of attractions with very little waiting. Definitely note on your  resort and restaurant reservations that your sons will be celebrating their birthdays during your vacation. Disney likes to sprinkle pixie dust on those celebrating special events, and you may find that they receive a free dessert at a meal or other little surprises throughout the trip. Stop by Guest Services and pick up Birthday buttons for them to wear -- they'll be amazed at all the people wishing them Happy Birthday as they walk through the parks! 

    The Disney characters hold Meet and Greets daily in the parks, where you can pose for pictures with them and get their autographs. When you enter the park, just pick up a Times Guide, which lists the locations and times of character greetings scheduled for that day. If you're looking for a particular character, you can also ask a castmember at Guest Services to call the Character Hotline to determine where that character can be found. Of course, character meals are a fun way to meet the characters while you dine. Chef Mickey's is a great spot to celebrate a birthday, and Mickey and friends stop by your table to sign autographs while you eat.
